GDEF Strengthens Education Partnership with Pankshin LGA in Follow-Up Advocacy Visit

In April 2025, the Godwill Duutle Educational Foundation (GDEF) team paid a follow-up advocacy visit to the Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Area, building upon the foundations laid during the initial engagement in May 2024. This visit was aimed at reviewing progress, reinforcing commitments, and exploring new avenues of collaboration to further advance inclusive and quality education in the region.

During the meeting, the GDEF team commended the Chairman and his administration for the steps taken over the past year to prioritize education. These included improvements in school infrastructure, increased community sensitization on the importance of schooling, and enhanced support for vulnerable children. The team also shared impact updates from their ongoing programs in the area and presented fresh insights on existing gaps and emerging needs.

The discussions focused on deepening stakeholder engagement, mobilizing resources, and scaling up interventions that directly support underprivileged children. GDEF emphasized the need to sustain momentum and called for stronger integration of education-centered policies into the LGA’s development plans.

In his remarks, the Chairman reiterated his unwavering commitment to educational development and expressed gratitude to the GDEF team for their tireless efforts. He assured the team of the LGA’s continued support, noting plans to expand educational outreach programs and strengthen partnerships with civil society actors.

The visit reaffirmed the shared vision between GDEF and Pankshin LGA — that every child deserves access to quality education regardless of socioeconomic background. As this collaboration grows, so does the promise of a more inclusive, empowered, and educated community.

Together, we are not just advocating for education — we are building the future.
