PANKSHIN PROJECT
On Wednesday 3rd of July, 2024, the members of the Board of Trustees of the Godwill Duutle Educational Foundation (GDEF) paid a courtesy call to the Pankshin Local Government Education Authority in order to introduce the foundation to the education authority. The Board of Godwill Duutle Educational Foundation was led by the Chairman, Mr. Longtong Godwill Yadok, who also spoke on behalf of the foundation.
The Executive Secretary of Pankshin Local Government Authority, Mrs. Asabe Yassa, warmly received BoT members of GDEF. While thanking the Executive Secretary of Pankshin Local Government Education Authority, the BoT Chairman explained that GDEF was founded on the heels of the Late Godwill Dutle’s passion for academic excellence while he was alive. Therefore, the foundation was established not just to immortalize him but to continue with his pursuit of delivering quality education especially to children in the locality. He iterated the GDEF’s motto which is “innovation and quality education for all.” He also informed the Executive Secretary that GDEF is currently renovating a classroom block in Abwor-Dyis Community of Pankshin Local Governent Area as a well as a laboratory at Naanvit Star Academy Pankshin.













Additionally, the foundation would be organizing a training for primary school teachers on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from the 23rd – 24th of July, 2024 at Naanvit Star Academy Pankshin. On that note, he encouraged the Executive Secretary to nominate 10 teachers within the LGA to attend the workshop which will be facilitated by experts on primary education at the FCE Pankshin TETFund Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning in Primary and Early Childhood Education (T-CEIPEC).
Responding on behalf of the Pankshin Local Government Education Authority, Mrs. Asabe Yassa thanked the BoT of GDEF for coming and for choosing to partner with the Pankshin LEA. She said, on their part, they will commit themselves to see that the pupils in Pankshin acquire quality education as this first event marks a step in the right direction. She implored the foundation to do more and prayed that more NGOs would come to the aid of the educational sector.
Before the members of the GDEF Board of Trustees left, the took a photograph with the Executive Secretary of Pankshin L.E.A in her office and promised to keep the authority abreast on all projects and events that GDEF will undertake in Pankshin Local Government Area,
